Take your sweetheart to M.B. Financial Park Entertainment Center in Rosemont, Illinois, near O'Hare for a park once evening. Start out at iFLY indoor sky diving experience. You and your date can be aloft in a 14-foot-wide circular tower that has winds up to 175-miles-per-hour. For more winter fun, the Park has a skating rink and a snow-covered tubing slope.

Warm up beside the fire place at Five Roses Pub, an authentic Gaelic experience where the bar was shipped over from Ireland. Oysters on the half shell with cider mignonette is a popular choice among lovers, or just enjoy a pint. On Valentine's Day, every bottle of Fifty Shades of Grey wine purchased with dinner makes you eligible for a drawing to win an overnight stay at a local hotel for you and your sweetheart.

But for dinner, you may want to continue the international theme by enjoying authentic German beer and food at The Hofbrauhaus. This is the first German/Bavarian beer hall and restaurant in the Chicago area that provides a Bavarian beer hall experience with German bands, sing-alongs, and dancing in the aisles. The on-site microbrewery uses original recipes from 400 years ago handed down by Wilhelm V, the Duke of Bavaria. Food includes Bavarian favorites such as pretzels with cheese and mustard, schnitzels, sausages, sauerbraten, dumplings and more.

Finish up your evening at the Sugar Factory's Chocolate Lounge with a crystal chandelier and luscious menu items such as the King Kong Sundae and a chocolate martini. If you start to feel guilty about the kids you left at home, the Sugar Factory has Chicago's first couture pops, an innovative candy enjoyed by pop culture icons such as Katy Perry, Britney Spears and other Hollywood trendsetters.
