On October 15, MB Financial Park will host Family Fall Fest. From 1 p.m. till 6 p.m., families can enjoy free horse-drawn hayrides around MB Financial Park’s inner drive. Hayrides will conclude at 4 p.m. Families can participate in free balloon sculpting, face painting, magic acts and pumpkin painting.

Since pumpkins are popular fall decoration, families can learn a few pumpkin carving tricks during the Family Fall Fest. Steve Dahlke, acclaimed pumpkin carver, will be carving a 500-pound pumpkin. The finished carved pumpkin will remain at MB Financial Park through Halloween.

After all the fun Family Fall Fest fun, guests are encouraged to stay for a free concert. “Chicago 6” will perform at 4 p.m. Chicago 6 features former 1985 Chicago Bears Dan Hampton, Otis Wilson and Steve McMichael along with John McFarland and Ed Kammerer.

For those wanting a scarier Halloween haunt, Disturbia: Screams in the Park has returned for another season. Buried in the MB Financial Park basement, this intense haunted house isn’t for the faint of heart. From darkened corridors to creepy characters, Disturbia’s interactive, sinister action is for the truly brave.

Finally, MB Financial Park kicks off Halloween weekend with a Halloween Bar Crawl. On Friday, October 28, guests will enjoy four hours of drink specials. Participating restaurants include Adobe Gila’s, Bub City, Five Roses, Hofbräuhaus Chicago, Kings Bowl, Park Tavern and Sugar Factory. Presale tickets are $10 and event day tickets will be $15. Bar crawl tickets also include two complimentary ticket vouchers for Zanies Comedy Club in Rosemont. Participants who visit all seven participating venues during the crawl will be entered to win a Rosemont gift basket including an overnight hotel stay, concert tickets and gift cards.
