Rosemont’s MB Financial Park is giving its visitors a lot to look forward to during the fall and winter months. From family-focused festivals and free ice skating, to bar crawls and a plethora of dining options, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Parking is free at MB Financial Park’s onsite parking garage with validation from any of the Park’s venues. There’s also a free “entertainment circulator” (Pace Route 811), which provides transportation service between the CTA Blue Line Rosemont Station and MB Financial Park, with additional stops at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and Fashion Outlets of Chicago.
Families can enjoy a great day of outdoor entertainment at MB Financial Park’s second annual “Family Fall Fest” Saturday, October 7 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Free festivities include bouncy houses, pumpkin decorating, balloon sculpting, magic acts and face painting until 5 p.m. Free horse-drawn hayrides around the Park’s inner drive will also be offered until 4 p.m.
Beatles tribute band “Kaleidoscope Eyes” will play a live concert from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. At 3 p.m., children’s entertainment group “Istvan & His Imaginary Band” will take the stage until 4 p.m. 1950s and 60s rock tribute band “Rosie and The Rivets” will then close out the festival with live music from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
The fall festivities continue for MB Financial Park visitors ages 21+ at the Park’s special “Crawl-O-Ween” Halloween Bar Crawl Saturday, October 28 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Participants can have a scary amount of fun crawling through the Park’s seven bars! Advance registration is now available on EventBrite.com for $10. On-site registration will also be available on October 28 for $15. Bar crawl registration includes access to 2 tickets to Zanies Comedy Club in Rosemont, drink specials and raffle prizes! Those “victims” who complete the crawl by stopping at all seven bars will be entered to win a mystery grand prize!
During the holiday months, MB Financial Park will make the season bright with the return of FROZEMONT!
FROZEMONT festivities for the 2017-2018 season are scheduled to kick off Friday, November 24 during MB Financial Park’s annual “Light Up The Park” tree lighting ceremony. The Chicago Wolves Ice Rink will open for the season at 11 a.m. Families can enjoy a wide variety of holiday festivities throughout the day including visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, ice carving viewing and free horse-drawn sleigh rides around the Park’s inner drive. At 5:30 p.m., Rosemont’s Mayor Brad Stephens will officially flip a switch to ignite more than 80,000 twinkling lights surrounding the Park. Ice skating will be available until 10 p.m.
Admission to the Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at FROZEMONT is free. Guests are invited to bring their own skates. Skate rentals are also available onsite for $8.
