Rockin' in the Park Lineup!


Get those sunglasses, towels and flip-flops ready.

The line-up for the May 28 through Sept. 3 free Thursday summer concert series and fireworks to be held at MB Financial Park in Rosemont was announced this week.

Known as "Rockin’ in the Park 2015," the concert series will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Park’s great lawn with food and beverage tents available as well parking.

The series runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day and after each of concerts, a fireworks show will be displayed.

Prior to the beginning of the concert series, Park officials will sponsor a Hawaiian-themed pub crawl and concert Sunday, May 24 featuring Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band playing rock, reggae and calypso music.

May 28: Tons of Fun, featuring former REO Speedwagon frontman Terry Luttrell 
June 4: Final Say, presenting songs from the latest top 40 hits to classics
June 11: Dick Holliday and the Bamboo Gang, providing “funky rock”
June 18: American English, a Beatles tribute band
June 25: Benny C & the Associates, from Australia, blues and soul in their debut U.S. concert
July 2: Pride of Lions, featuring former Survivor keyboardist Jim Peterik and vocalist Toby Hitchcock, presenting music of the '80s
July 9: Heartache Tonight, an Eagles tribute band
July 16: Live The Who, direct from Detroit, returns to Rosemont
July 23: Hi Infidelity, featuring music from the '80s
July 30: Chicago Experience, a Chicago tribute band
Aug. 6: Atomic Punks, from Los Angeles, playing Van Halen songs
Aug. 13: West Side Winders, featuring rockabilly, swing, surf, blues and honky-tonk country
Aug. 20: Kashmir, a Led Zeppelin tribute band
Aug. 27: Slippery When Wet, from Atlanta, features Bon Jovi music;
Sept. 3: Libido Funk Circus, performs disco and '60s hits.

Park officials say an '80s-themed pub crawl and concert will culminate the series Sunday, Sept. 6 with the final band, JakTripper, performing rock, alternative, pop, metal and blues.
