Village Approves $1.2 Million For Kings Bowl Tap Room
A tap room, funded by a $1.2 million allowance from the village, is on its way to Kings Bowl in Rosemont.
An agreement requiring Kings pay off the sum within nine years was approved by the village board last month. According to Mayor Brad Stephens, an extra fee will be added to the dining and entertainment venue’s rent payments to cover the allowance.
“We’re hedging our bets that it’s going to generate more revenue,” said Stephens. Previously, the village entered into a similar agreement with Park Tavern, also located in MB Financial Park, the village’s entertainment district.
When complete, the new area will include large-screen TVs and a sizable selection of draft beers. According to Kings staff, the tap room is slated to open in mid or late November.
Kings is located at 5505 Park Place.
