Winter Fun Begins This Week #FROZEMONT


This holiday season, Rosemont will continue to create magical memories for its visitors. From all the “FROZEMONT” fun located at Rosemont’s MB Financial Park entertainment district, to holiday shows, shopping and more, Rosemont is your one-stop destination to make the season bright.

Light Up the Park: MB Financial Park’s holiday festivities begin under a sky of 80,000 twinkling lights at MB Financial Park’s annual “Light Up the Park” tree lighting event Friday, November 25. The FROZEMONT ice rink officially opens for the season at 11 a.m. Guests can enjoy free horse-drawn sleigh rides, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus and ice carving viewing throughout the afternoon and evening. A special tree lighting ceremony, including a performance by Chicago Skates Synchronized Skating Team, will take place at 5:30 p.m.

FROZEMONT’s ice rink will be open every day from November 25, 2016 through January 2, 2017. In addition to special holiday hours, the rink will also be open Sundays from January 8, 2017 through February 29, 2017. Admission to the FROZEMONT ice rink is free. Guests are invited to bring their own skates. Skate rentals are also available onsite for $8.

BRRR FEST: Holiday fun isn’t just for the kids – be sure to visit MB Financial Park’s first winter-themed food and beverage festival featuring a wide variety of delicacies and libations from the Park’s restaurants. BRRR Fest is scheduled to take place Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. in the Park’s center drive. The fest will feature live music from Motown and Soul band, Second Hand Soul (Dec. 10), and Rock and Pop band Sushi Roll (Dec. 11), along with ice carvers from World Class Ice Sculpture Inc. Admission is free and guest 21+.

Cozy up at MB Financial Park’s Venues: FROZEMONT visitors can warm up for lunch or dinner at MB Financial Park’s vast variety of bars restaurants. Bub City offers a slice of the south in the heart of the Midwest with savory barbecue comfort food. Sip on an authentic margarita at Tex-Mex eatery Adobe Gila’s Mexican Cantina. Enjoy traditional Irish fare and a pint at Five Roses Pub. For fine Brazilian dining, visit Fogo de Chão, a contemporary twist on traditional fire roasted meats served by the restaurant’s own gaucho chefs.

Hofbräuhaus Chicago is an extraordinary replica of Germany’s legendary micro-brewery beer hall and restaurant, where guests can enjoy authentic Bavarian fare.
