A public hearing has been scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 9 at Rosemont Village Hall to consider a Special Use permit and sign variance request for two new restaurants scheduled to open in late February in the Village’s Entertainment District. The restaurants are Bub City and Joe’s Live.
Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. will open the two facilities in what was the site of Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill that closed in late 2015. An opening event at the eateries is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25.

The Rosemont Zoning Board of Appeals hearing will first consider Lettuce Entertain You’s Special Use permit application to establish and operate at the property that will offer dining and live music. Secondly, a Village-issued special use permit is required to allow a sign variation for the venues at the site.

Live music will be featured at Joe’s Live while the adjacent Bub City restaurant will offer a variety of meals with a focus on barbecue.

Founded in Chicago in 1971, Lettuce Entertain You owns, licenses or manages over 100 establishments in Illinois, California, Arizona, Maryland, Virginia, Minnesota and Nevada.
