Saving Time for Meeting and Tradeshow Attendees
How many times have you raced through a hotel lobby, rental car facility or other travel venue, wishing you could just check the real time of your flight quickly on a digital display board?
It’s no longer a wish for busy attendees at the Donald E. Stephens Convention and Conference Center, but a real convenience, located right in the front lobby. Officials of the Stephens Center have had a TouchQuest FlyteBoard installed. It was developed by Flyte Systems, in partnership with digital signage software provider, Digital Minds Inc.
The TouchQuest FlyteBoard is a wall-mounted, high-definition, flat-panel screen that provides attendees with glance-and-go airline flight information for convenient and confident travel planning. Did you know that FAA-regulated scheduled departure times do not list delays caused by: air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, crew availability or weather? But this FlyteSystem application does; it has the unique ability to post accurate real-time airline flight arrival and departure information.
The Stephens Center, located directly east of Chicago O’Hare International Airport, hosts more than 100 tradeshows, exhibitions, meetings and conventions annually, attracting approximately 1.5 million visitors. The nearly one-million square foot facility is one of few, if not the only municipally-owned convention centers in the nation to return revenues to its host community and state.
“The addition of Digital Minds’ TouchQuest FlyteBoard is a quick and easy way for our attendees to better plan how they will spend their time in Rosemont,” said Stephens Center General Manager Christopher R. Stephens.“We have instituted best practices when it comes to providing service for both our tradeshow and convention managers and their attendees,” said Mr. Stephens. “This TouchQuest FlyteBoard is an example of the kind of state-of-technology applications we are seeking to provide to our customers.”
Joseph P. Fiduccia, president and CEO of Digital Minds Inc. (www.touchquest.com, said: “We are in a new age of digital communications in a world ruled by the clock. I see strong demand for the FlyteBoard solution because travelers value a service that enables them to view real-time airport travel information and confirm the status of their flight prior to departure.”
“Digital Minds, Inc. is an innovator in the digital signage field that continues to maintain a competitive lead over other providers by delivering flight information to clients,” said Brian Reynolds, president of Flyte System, (www.flytesystems.com). “The TouchQuest FlyteBoard implementation at the Stephens Center marks another successful partnership for Flyte Systems with an innovative digital signage company to deliver its services.”
“We love making life easier for our attendees. This new display board is just the beginning of the added conveniences the Stephens Center will be making available to its customers.”
