Professional women's softball will be coming to Rosemont next June when the Chicago Bandits begin play in a new stadium owned by the village that will be located adjacent to the Tri-State Tollway. The Bandits will play approximately 20 games in their new arena that will have permanent seating for around 1,400 fans. The team currently plays home games in Elgin. Rosemont will own the stadium and is planning on an investment of $5.5 million. Other softball and baseball events and games will be held inside the stadium including possible DePaul University women's softball, high school and hardball competition.
