A series of new signs will be put in place throughout the village in the months ahead to help visitors to Rosemont better find their way around.
Village board members recently accepted a proposal from Western Remac to conduct an evaluation study for way finding signage throughout Rosemont. Western Remac will be paid $67,535 for its services.
According to Mayor Bradley Stephens, the study will take about 60 days to complete and include recommendations such as the types of signs to install.
“It’s to get people off the highway and to local sites,” said the mayor.
Besides the Allstate Arena, convention center and Rosemont Theater, other venues that the signs will lead people to could include the village’s new entertainment district, The Park at Rosemont, and the new softball stadium, both of which are currently under construction and will be in operation later this year.
