Time Comes For Clock Tower To Move
Rosemont’s Bavarian clock tower that for years has been located on property near Dunne Park was moved to a more visible site about a block and a half away last Friday.
A three-member crew slowly transported the clock tower by lifting it about five feet off the ground using a crane. Once it arrived at its destination, the tower was bolted to a concrete pedestal in a small village park north of the Westin hotel.
Mayor Brad Stephens said that the decision was made to move the clock tower in order to give it more visibility to traffic on River Road south of Higgins Road.
