Get your suitcases ready: the Chicago Travel & Adventure Show is returning to Rosemont Feb. 10 through Feb. 11 to showcase destinations near and far.
The 14th annual show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center will include celebrity speakers, interactive exhibits and opportunities to discover new travel and vacation destinations. Travel hacks, cooking demonstrations, exotic experiences will also be featured.
To best present destinations to visitors, exhibitors are bringing a piece of the locations to Rosemont. Visitors might stumble upon camel rides or a scuba diving pool as they navigate through the exhibits.
“Part of what makes this show so engaging every year is the broad variety of cultural experience and expertise that come together in one room,” said Travel & Adventure Show CEO John Golicz in a statement. “Whether it is a travel icon, master chef or unique travel destination, we want to welcome both old and new faces to the Chicago Travel & Adventure Show this year.”
The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11.
Exhibitors range from African Elite Safaris, to Ohio Amish Country, to Cancun and Riviera Maya, to Southwest Michigan. Those curious about French canal boats, train travel or a visit to Alaska can all find an exhibit catering to their interests.
Those seeking wellness travel can visit the Wellness Travel Pavillion, which will highlight wellness travel trends, products and supplies.
“Now more than ever, travelers are looking for experiences that focus on promoting mental and physical well-being,” said Founder/CEO of Travel to Wellness Anne Dimon in a statement. “From influencer-led yoga retreats to instructional culinary vacations teaching participants how to cook healthy meals and make better food choices, this travel trend has quickly become the fastest-growing travel sector worldwide.”
The Taste of Travel Theater will feature chef demonstrations, while The Savvy Traveler Theater will review packing tips, travel safety and traveling on a budget.
Nordic folk dance, Muay Thai boxing and Classical Indian dance demonstrations will also take place throughout the weekend.
This year’s speakers will include Pauline Frommer of Frommer’s travel guides and prolific travel writer Rick Steves.
