Fans are winners at Impact Field

Months of planning finally gave way to baseball Friday night in Rosemont when the Chicago area’s newest professional baseball team, the Chicago Dogs, played the first home game in franchise history at the newly built Impact Field.

The visiting Kansas City T-Bones rallied for six runs in the top of the ninth to defeat the Dogs 8-4. The loss dropped the Dogs’ record to 1-6, but the result did nothing to dampen the spirit of an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd of 6,317.
