Light Up The Park at MB Financial Park 2015


MB Financial Park will kick off its FROZEMONT winter programming Friday, November 27 with the opening of the Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at MB Financial Park and “Light Up the Park” tree lighting event, featuring a spectacular display of more than 80,000 lights in the park.

The NHL-sized ice skating rink opens to the public for free ice skating at 11 a.m. Guests can also enjoy various holiday festivities throughout the day including photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, ice carving and free horse-drawn sleigh rides around The Park.
The Village of Rosemont has partnered with Special Olympics Illinois to donate all skate rental proceeds from Friday, November 27 to the organization’s programs, which serve more than 22,000 athletes throughout the state of Illinois.

The official tree lighting ceremony in MB Financial Park will begin at 5:30 p.m. Rosemont’s Mayor Brad Stephens, along with Special Olympics Illinois athletes, will introduce a special performance by the United States Synchronized Skating Team, skating out of McFetridge Sports Center. Following the performance, Mayor Stephens and Santa Claus will illuminate The Park with a breathtaking display of holiday lights.

The Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at MB Financial Park closes for the evening at 10 p.m. MB Financial Park restaurants will be open for lunch and dinner throughout the day.

The Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at MB Financial Park will be open every day from November 27, 2015 through January 2, 2016 and Sundays from January 3 through February 28, 2016. FROZEMONT’s two-story tubing adventure “Polar Peak” will open to the public Friday, December 11.

Visit or call 847-349-5008 for a complete schedule of skating and tubing hours. Admission to the ice rink is free. Skates can be rented onsite for $8. Tubing tickets will be available on-site at the Polar Peak box office for $3 per run, with discounts available for multiple runs.
