Lyft Approved For 30 Parking Spots At Allstate Arena
Journal & Topics
Lyft, the San Francisco-based ride-sharing company that competes with regular taxi service, will soon have a stronger presence near the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
Rosemont Village Board members last week approved a proposal to allow Lyft to park 30 of its cars behind the arena’s administration building off of Lunt Avenue giving it close proximity for customers wanting rides.
The one-year deal for the preferred spots will cost Lyft $150,000.
Lyft is a transportation network company similar to Uber. Customers are invited to download the company’s app in order to contact a driver in the area. The company was founded in 2012.
