The inflating process of a new village of Rosemont athletic dome that will replace the original that was destroyed in early August during a microburst storm will begin within the next 10 to 14 days.
The 140,000 sq. ft. facility has become a popular spot where sports enthusiasts can play and practice. Air is pumped into the dome inflating the poly-vinyl fabric which keeps the structure up.
Scheduled activities won’t resume until after the first of the year to allow time for necessary utility work and the installation of new doors and turnstiles. Insurance is covering all expenses, said Mayor Brad Stephens.
