O’Reilly Auto Parts 55th Annual Chicago World of Wheels 2017

We survived last week and the Detroit Autorama with its prestigious Ridler award. This week it’s an equally impressive grouping of show cars competing for the also prestigious Legend Cup hosted by Clean Tools. We now find ourselves at the 2017 O’Reilly Auto Parts 55th Annual Chicago World of Wheels. This weekend’s action (beginning on Friday) will take place at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. A nearby city to Chicago, only 14 miles away, Rosemont has served as the home city for some time.
But there’s more to this show then just the Legend Cup. How about the Championship Finals sponsored by Summit Racing Equipment, followed by the always popular Gene Winfield and his traveling Chop Shop, or how about the Pedal Car Challenge presented by Summit.
There is also the 10th Annual Chicago Brushmasters Charity Auction (funds go to the Hope Children’s Hospital Ronald McDonald House) and this takes place all three days beginning Friday evening and wrapping up Sunday afternoon. There is also the World of Wheels Pinup Girls content and the Rock-a-Billy Bands blaring out plenty of great music all weekend. And let’s not forget the Jack Trepanier Legacy Award that will go to one spectacular competitor’s hot rod. Also there for all to enjoy is Tin City devoted to traditional rods, customs and bobbers.

Also on hand is the sister publication to Street Rodder and that is Low-rider with its special section devoted to some amazing rides and Editor Joe Ray who is always up for a good conversation on all-things low-rider.
