Recycling & Donation Event Set In Rosemont

Rosemont residents have a chance to reduce clutter in an eco-friendly way during a recycle and donation event from 7 to 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at 9575 W. Higgins Rd., Rosemont.

Items accepted for donation or recycling include: batteries, appliances, clothing such as gloves and hats, shoes, boots, linens, blankets, towels, furniture, household goods, kitchenware, books, CDs, DVDs and pure white styrofoam.

Items not accepted at the event include: hazardous waste, light bulbs, medical items or needles, car batteries, TVs of any kind, TV consoles, armoires, baby furniture and smoke detectors.

This event is organized by the village and The Burke Group with help from Abt and The Salvation Army.
