Registration Is Underway For Spring Activities At The Rosemont Park District.
Special events in May will include:

Family Bingo and Game Nights are held at Lange Park in alternating months, with Bingo from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on May 15, and game night in June. Registration is required more than a week before the event (between three and 10 families) or the night is cancelled. The cost is $10 two for residents or $20 for non-residents; $5 for additional adults.

The Mobile Room Escape, challenging children from 7 years and older and adults, will visit Lange Park, 6140 Scott St., from 4 to 5 p.m. June 9. Reservations are for one of two 30-minute visits. Registration will start May 8 for residents ($23) or May 15 for non-residents ($31). Activities require a group to solve how to escape from the room, decorated as a WWII submarine.

Zumba Kids classes, starting June 2, will start registration this week at the Barry Recreation Center, 7128 Barry St. Classes for grades 1 to 5 will meet from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Friday nights. The cost per session is $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents. A second session will start July 14.

Registration for summer day camp will be held May 10 to 13. It is open only to Rosemont resident children, and a parent or legal guardian must do the registration.

Regular camp weeks are June 12 to July 21 (no July 4). Field trips are included in this program but the costs for trips are extra.
An extended camp will also be available for July 24 to Aug. 5, but only for kindergarten through sixth grade. No field trips are in this package.

The cost per preschool child is $200 for regular camp. Preschool is offered from 10 a.m. to noon.

The cost for grade school and kindergarten children is $380 per week; $125 per child for extended camp. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Discounts are available for families with more than one child: two children, $480; three children, $580; four or more children, $640.

Children must bring their own lunch.

Lange Park will also offer a course, from 4 to 6 p.m. June 5 through 7, to teach residents how to create a movie. “Lights… Camera… Spiderman” will meet at Lange Park with the Computer Explorers staff. The cost is $72 for residents (register May 8) and $96 for non-residents. Students will work in teams to write and film their Spiderman figures to make a video.

Also underway is registration for ceramics and yoga.
