PBS’ Rick Steves and CBS News travel editor Peter Greenburg are just two of the speakers set to headline one of Rosemont's largest conventions, the 12th annual Chicago Travel and Adventure Show slated for Jan. 23-24.

In 2014, it was reported that over 21,000 people attended the show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center on River Road.

Attendees can obtain expert information from world travel authorities and browse hundreds of booths offering key information and special discounts on American and international travel destinations.

The show will feature seminars, demonstrations and workshops on five educational stages. Learn “how-to” tips on traveling smarter, preview the latest gadgets and innovations for future trips, and attend educational sessions on travel photography and packing.

Other show speakers include family travel expert and TV host Colleen Kelly, travel deals expert Johnny Jet and travel author Allan Karl.

“Our 2016 Chicago show will be our biggest and most wide-ranging ever,” said Travel and Adventure Show CEO John Golicz. “Rick Steves is always one of our most popular speakers, and we are delighted that this year we have one of the most educational rosters of presenters ever.”
Returning to the show is a stage where chefs will offer cooking demonstrations and samples of global cuisine.

The show will make space for more than 350 exhibitors representing the world’s top destinations and tour operators. They can help attendees plan and book their future travels.

AAA Travel will run partner booths, destination workshops, show specials and prize giveaways. Other sponsors include the Arizona Office of Tourism, Mexico Tourism Board and “Rick Steves’ Europe”.

The show opens at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 23 for travel professionals, with general public hours set from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday, the show floor opens at 11 a.m, and closes at 4 p.m.
