Parkway Bank Park event planner Michelle McDonald said Rosemont Restaurant Week 2019 was a great success.

As of Monday morning, McDonald said she received positive feedback from Carmine’s, Five Roses Pub, Murray Bros. Caddyshack, Bub City and The Rose Hotel. Fifteen restaurants participated.

“Overall it sounds like it was a really good turnout,” McDonald said.

Rosemont Restaurant Week hosted a takeover of the DiningOut Chicago Instagram account March 7 and promoted the village’s selection of special dining opportunities to more than 42,000 followers. McDonald said the restaurants appreciated the effort to increase event exposure.

McDonald also noted more people took advantage of the culinary celebration’s specials than last year.

“Each year gains more traction as more people start to hear about Rosemont Restaurant Week and want to try the food and new restaurants,” McDonald said.

Rosemont Restaurant Week started three years ago in response to similar events sprouting up around the area. The original Rosemont Restaurant Week was solely within the entertainment district, but extended to the whole village last year.
