Rosemont School ‘Family Fun Night’ Friday At Dome
The Rosemont School Benefit Club invites the whole community to attend “Family Fun Night” from 6 to 9 p.m. April 21 at the Dome, 27 Finch Way, Rosemont. The theme is “Cubs vs. Sox,” appropriate as the 2017 baseball season revs up, but the event’s proceeds will support a cause closer to home.
Benefit Club President Vanessa Cooper says 100% of the money raised will go toward helping to pay for Rosemont School’s eighth grade trip to Washington, D.C., planned for the end of the month.
Admission is $5 per person. Refreshments will be available, ranging from pizza, hot dogs and sub sandwiches to soda.
Watch the Cobra eighth graders play ball against a team of faculty members. Kids can participate in a Home Run Derby. Inflatable “jump” houses will be there to try.
A popular spot may be the dunk tank, with a chance for young pitchers to give faculty a cool dip, all for a good cause.
Another attraction is a Vendor Fair with 43 businesses represented. The admission is $5 for shoppers, but the Family Fun Night admission covers both. This is a chance to check out the latest Avon or Mary Kay makeup products, craft projects, designer goods, crystal vases, exercise and pampering opportunities, books, jewelry and chef products.
The Benefit Club’s newest cookbook will be available for $10 each. Copies can also be purchased during the week at the school office.
Many special prizes are included in the evening’s prize drawing, including tickets to Cubs and White Sox games, a performance by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw with some special perks. Purchases made at the vendor fair will qualify for an extra ticket for the drawings, which will start at 8:30 p.m.
