Skate with the Greats Returns to Parkway Bank Park
Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park has once again partnered with the Chicago Blackhawk Alumni Association to present the seventh annual “Skate with the Greats” Sunday, Feb. 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Parkway Bank Park. Proceeds from the event will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI).
During “Skate with the Greats,” current Chicago Blackhawks player Alex DeBrincat and legendary NHL Hall of Famer Chris Chelios will be on-site at Parkway Bank Park signing autographs. Attendees can also meet and skate with mascot Tommy Hawk alongside other Chicago Blackhawks alumni including Murray Bannerman, Denis Cyr, Eric Daze, Reggie Kerr, Steve Konroyd, Cliff Koroll, Grant Mulvey, Troy Murray and Brian Noonan. Appearances are subject to change.
“Skate with the Greats is the perfect addition to Parkway Bank Park’s winter events,” said Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens. “We’re proud to kick off 2019 with an event supporting such a great organization as Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana.”
“Skate with the Greats offers our community an opportunity to come together and have fun while raising important funds that help keep families with hospitalized children together,” says Holly Buckendahl, Chief Executive Officer, RMHC-CNI. “We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Chicago Blackhawk Alumni Association, Dr Pepper and the Village of Rosemont for making this special event possible, as well as the dedicated hockey fans who come out and show their support.”
Tickets to “Skate with the Greats” can be purchased online at ronaldhousechicago.org/skate. Adult tickets are available for $100 each and $50 tickets are available for children ages 12 or younger. A special family four-pack of tickets is available for $250. Each ticket will provide attendees access to ice skating on the Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at Parkway Bank Park. Tickets will also allow access to a one-hour autograph session at Kings Dining & Entertainment. A silent auction, offering exclusive items including Chicago Blackhawks memorabilia and experiences, will also be offered at Kings. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Guests of “Skate with the Greats” may bring their own skates, but free skate rentals will also be available at Parkway Bank Park. In order to ensure participation from all event attendees, “Skate with the Greats” guests are limited to one autograph and one photograph each from Alex DeBrincat and Chris Chelios.
