Topping-Off And Sneak-Peek Of The Rose Hotel

Janko Group and Janko Hospitality, hosted a special Topping-Off and Sneak-Peek event for Rosemont’s first boutique hotel, The Rose Hotel, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton today, May 22, 2018. The five-story, 165-room development will offer guests a wide variety of amenities including approximately 5,000 square feet of high performance meeting space, a sophisticated and artistically-focused lobby and bar, state of the art fitness center, complimentary airport shuttle and more. Janko Group Managing Director Greg Spanos was joined by Mayor Bradley Stephens, Hilton Sr. Director Brand Performance Mary Peduzzi, Power Construction President Terry Graber and newly appointed The Rose Hotel General Manager Micaela Haas for the celebratory event.

As the closest off-airport hotel to Chicago O’Hare airport, The Rose Hotel will offer a unique experience from the moment guests walk in the front door. Thought provoking and visually stimulating design fill the front lobby, while modern rooms with contemporary art treat guests to a bold, comfortable stay. Food offerings range from classic breakfast to small-plate tapas, while the full-service bar features locally brewed beer and themed cocktails. The hotel also offers a private dining room for special meetings and receptions as well as a fitness center. The Rose’s flexible, technology-rich meeting spaces offer full catering menus and audio-visual capabilities.

The Rose Hotel is one of the newest additions to The Pearl District, a mixed-use complex and home to several businesses including Dave & Buster’s, Carmine’s and Truluck’s. The Pearl District, located at the intersection of Balmoral Ave. and Pearl St., is adjacent to both the Fashion Outlets of Chicago as well as the brand-new, state-of-the-art minor-league baseball stadium, Impact Field, home of the Chicago Dogs.

In addition to giving guests a sneak-peek of the new space, The Rose Hotel also announced Micaela Haas as the opening General Manager. Having spent more than 16 years in the hospitality industry, Haas brings an extraordinary amount of knowledge and an impeccable track-record of providing exceptional service. Haas will be integral in developing the overall strategy of the opening of the hotel including marketing and staffing among various other responsibilities.

About Micaela Haas
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina Micaela Haas began her career as a banquet server at the Sheraton Libertador in Buenos Aires. In 2002, she came to New Orleans, LA for an internship with Marriott. After falling in love with the American culture, she stayed in New Orleans at the Marriott Hotel as an Operations Supervisor until Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.
She landed in Chicago where she became the operations supervisor at the Marriott Suites O’Hare in Rosemont. During the past ten years, Haas has served as an Event Manager, Sales Manager and Rooms Director in five different hotels. In May 2016, she joined the Chicago Marriott Naperville as the Director of Operations. Haas’s operations team consistently scored in the top 10% of the company and in 2018 scored a 94% on the Brand Standard Audit, the highest score the hotel had ever received. She will serve as the opening General Manager for the city of Rosemont’s first boutique hotel, The Rose Hotel. Haas attended Cencap University Buenos Aires in Argentina and has a degree in Hospitality Management.
