Cheyenne's Up Next Followed By 4 More Tuesdays Of 'Country In Park'
The lineup of remaining country music performers set to perform in August at the free Tuesday evening “Country in the Park” concert series at MB Financial Park at Rosemont has been finalized.
The concerts, many featuring two bands each night, run from 7 to 10 p.m. in the park’s great lawn area.
In addition to live music, food and beverages are available for purchase from tents located around the park or from one of the park’s several restaurants. Parking is available at the MB Financial Park parking garage and is free with validation from any of the park’s venues.
On tap to perform Tuesday, Aug. 4 is Cheyenne Rose, who covers a wide variety of songs including those of Ed Sheeran and Tori Kelly along with original songs. She has also performed at Chicago sports venues.
The band Backroad Anthem, a six-man group from Fayetteville, AR, who has appeared at the Thunder Mountain Country Music Festival, will play after Rose.
On Aug. 11 Whiskey Jam, a band from Nashville that has performed across the country, will perform.
On Aug. 18 MamaDear will play. The group is made up of a trio of singer/songwriters including award-winning songwriter Tom Douglas who wrote “The House That Built Me,” Parker Bradway, Kelly Tillotson, and Daniel Wilson.
Following MamaDear, the group Stella James with artists Sarah Davidson, Rachel Bradshaw, and Ty Graham will play.
On Aug. 25 Brynn Marie, who has an album titled “Start Now” and was selected by Armed Forces Entertainment for a three-week tour through the Middle East, will perform.
The group Steven Lee Olsen will play after Marie. Olsen is a country music songwriter known for penning the songs “Ordinary Angels”, “I Will Stand By You” and “Let Your Love Speak”.
The 2015 concert series ends Tuesday, Sept. 1 with performances by Clayton Anderson and Adam Craig. Anderson’s first record “Torn Jeans and Tail lights” was released in 2011. He also won a Kenny Chesney next big star competition.
Craig has written several songs and his band, formed in 2006, released an album titled “Four Square Miles”.
The “Country in the Park” concert series sponsored by Jack Daniels is in addition to the MB Financial Park’s existing lineup of summer programming which includes the Thursday evening “Rockin’ in the Park” free concert series and fireworks, free yoga on Sundays and Zumba classes on Wednesdays.
