Village Celebrates Mother's Day With Monument Park Waterfall Unveiling
The Village of Rosemont will celebrate Mother’s Day with the official unveiling of the remodeled Monument Park waterfall at the corner of River Road and Higgins Road Sunday, May 8 at 11 a.m.
The event is part of a series of celebrations taking place throughout Rosemont’s 60th anniversary year in 2016 and will include a live musical performance by the Rosemont Cavaliers’ Senior Corps before the newly renovated waterfall is officially turned on for the summer season.
All mothers attending the event will receive a complimentary rose. Parking is available in the AAOS/Hampton Inn parking garage, located across the street from the waterfall on the corner of River Road and Higgins Road.
“The Monument Park waterfall has become one of Rosemont’s iconic landmarks over the years, and the newly renovated version pays homage to the town’s history,” said Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens. “The waterfall’s larger size and unique, state-of-the-art features including three distinct photo opportunity sections, help reflect the continued revitalization and growth of Rosemont.”
Rosemont Public Works Director Mike Raimondi oversaw the remodel of the waterfall since the groundbreaking in spring 2015. Partners in the construction included Cost of Wisconsin, Di Meo Brothers, Inc., Gurtz Electric, Hartwig Plumming, JBV Consulting and Krimson Valley.
